Nice Run, Ultimate Bet Sit n Gos (click here to go to UB)
Nice run "o" cards for yer hero Sharky: I took a break from my limit ring grind this week to play my favorite software/game (Ultimate Bet/Sit n Gos). The UB players are always a challenge. I would have to say pound for pound they are still the toughest on the net (excellent smack talkers also). Results: 10 total games, $50 sit n gos, 5 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third. 2 wins and 3rd were 10 man, the rest were 6 man games. Profit after buyins +976. Runnin' good!
Thanks to my buds and Shark Vets "HotRod" and "Bornsupreme" for rootin from the rail. Its fun to have railbirds when 3 tablin. It keeps them very busy. Borno, get a flat screen with one of your frequent cashouts! I'm amazed at how bad many sit n go players are at heads up and short handed poker. In sit n gos you really need to win for a good profit. Multi-table tourneys demand a top 3 finish for a big payout. You must practice this part of your game. The UB link above will get you to the best heads up sit n go action on the Net. Here is a link to several good short handed strategy articles http://www.onlineshark.com/shortplay.html (scroll down for links)
These are hard to find as "short" is very hard to describe strategy. This is because it is a "feel" game. Good HU (heads up) players see thousands of hands and can smell traps and set some killers also. You really can't get good reading, ya gotta play. Its a trapping game and really fun when you get good. I watch thunderkeller on UB (Pro Thomas Keller) playing 300/600 and dream of taking him down. BR is a little short, maybe next month. He'll be sitting there when i'm ready. He rarely gets up. I like to sit at 400/800 Omaha HU and when Phil Ivey (screen name Joe Buttons) shows up I run like hell. He's on to me now though. I sit for hours. Hope to meet him some day and see if he thinks i'm funny...........
